The Need to Feed
I have a strong feeling that Chad is probably going to adjust to the baby fairly quickly once he comes along. Much like a baby needing to feed every couple of hours … so do I.
I am constantly hungry. It’s not just mental either. It’s full on stomach growling, I need something in my gut to shut it up hungry. Pregnancy hunger is like no hunger I have ever known before – that’s for sure.
I behave just like a baby, too, if I don’t eat every couple of hours. I get crabby, fussy, whiny, moody … I think you get the point.
Bless my husband’s heart he knows the routine by now. He knows dinner is going to be around 5:30 p.m. now and no longer around 7 p.m. like it used to be. He knows there is no sleeping in on the weekends for me because otherwise I lay there with my stomach growling and the hunger complaints coming on.
The good news it doesn’t take a lot to settle the rumblings in my belly. Usually a handful of pretzels, or a few crackers, a piece of cheese or an apple usually quiet the growls in my tummy. It’s not like I need to be strapped to a trough full of Cheetos, Doritos and Fritos. Although, that does sound delicious and quite cheesy.
